A FAMILY CIRCUS SHOW
The sight+sound circus is a forty-five minute live circus show created by family, for families. Tall Ty the Circus Guy introduces his wife M and their son Little Big before voyaging on a colorful journey of the senses. Balls become photons, sticks are tuned instruments, and all eyes are on the trio as they skillfully create connections between music, light, and movement. M masters the aerial rope, Ty whirls in his wheel and they all juggle conical clubs in this circus spectacular. Come for the circus, stay for the science, leave a little lighter.

Cast
Ty Monroe Vennewitz grew up & up in the Pacific Northwest. He graduated from Western Washington University with a BA in Dance and earned a diploma in Circus Arts from the National Circus School of Canada in Montreal. He has performed with the Portland Opera, A-Wol Dance, Cirque Éloize, Creativiva, the Acrobatic Conundrum and many others. In 2018 he co-founded the Levity Circus Collective in Ashland, Oregon, with his wife Maureen. He has directed circus shows for Circadium, the Oregon Country Fair, and the OSF Green Show. Ty is pleased to present the sight+sound circus alongside his wonderful wife Maureen and their son Lux.

Maureen Monroe began her skyward exploration in 2012 when she moved to Ashland and became captivated by the beauty and athleticism of aerial arts. She came from 14 years of rock climbing and found an incredible community of artists in circus. She has toured with the New Old Time Chautauqua, the Acrobatic Conundrum and annually graces the stages of the Oregon Country Fair. She is a cofounder of the Levity Circus Collective, bringing aerial classes and live performance to the Rogue Valley. Maureen also runs her own Pilates studio, Ashland Authentic Pilates. She is happy to perform in the sight+sound circus with her husband and their son Lux.
